This blog has been an amazing step forward for pushing me toward writing all the time, every day, just like I’ve been wanting to and dreaming of for years, but college, stress and life just kept me from doing it. Now that I’ve gotten into the habit of it, I feel as if my blogging is taking me in another direction. This blog will be put on a sort of hiatus, and will be updated if I have more experiences, interviews, or job offers to write about. It will officially end once I get a job, but there’s no telling how long that will take.
I have started another blog that I am challenging myself to post in every day. You can follow it here.
In conclusion, I would like to say thank you to all who have been helping me through my job search.
Thank you to my parents, who surfed Indeed.com along with me, emailed me job listings, offered to introduce me to friends and suggested places in Stockton to look into.
Thank you to Josh, who assured me that I should keep to my standards, gave me interview tips, and offered to let me borrow some of his confidence before interviews.
Thank you to Josh’s parents, who cheered me on before interviews, sent me job listings, offered to help me with apartment hunting, and continuing to encourage me.
Thank you to Chelsea, for job hunting with me, telling me about jobs she found, and giving me a lot of support.
Thank you to Katelynn, for offering to help me take over her Meadowood job and put in a good word for me there. (If only the job was full time…:p)
Thank you to my family, for being supportive and giving me tips on where to look in Stockton and how to get into a job. Special thanks to Valerie, Laureen, and Demond: Valerie for giving me specific temporary agencies to apply to and ideas I wouldn’t have thought of, and Laureen for letting me vent to her while she’s trying to finish nursing school 🙂 , and Demond for suggesting (more like demanding) areas I should work and wishing me luck every time I have an interview.
Thank you to the wonderful people at Nimbus Arts: Jamie, Anne, Mary, David, and Dana. All of you were either there giving me encouragement, giving me information on workplaces in the Valley, calling contacts to help me make some of my own or find housing, and giving me the chance to continue to work with you if I am ever able to move back to the Valley. I appreciate it so much.
Thank you to AJ, for being willing to design business cards for me, let me guest blog and share some of your contacts.
Thank you to Michelle, for recommending me to businesses in the Valley and for being an awesome advisor and friend.
And finally, thank you to my subscribers, readers and bloggers who have read and commented my blog in the past four months. You are all amazing and are part of the reason that I am gaining the confidence to be able to write like I have always wanted to.
I love you all…and expect more posts as the job hunt continues. 🙂
